Ryan Koch praised TM 300FI power, not overly aggressive but smooth and hardly affected by the high altitude.
Testing off-road machines in So. Cal. during the month of August doesn’t rate that high on the hoot meter. Hot, ugly and very little traction are the highlights! We’ve been heading up to the Piute Mountains most of the summer where the temps are reasonable at the high elevations (starts at 5,000 feet and goes up to just about 8,000). Incredible terrain, painted with obstacles and enough nasty stuff to make even the gnarliest of dudes to crack a smile make it worth the long haul to get there. This week we were testing the new TM300 FI machine, more mods for our KTM 300TPI and some products for the machines and our bods.
Tip Webb switched off between his personal KTM 300 TPI and the TM 300 FI during the day. His take? Good wagon, feels light, strong brakes and power that is smooth and fairly vibration free.

Cool bike. Nothing has surpassed the OnTheLineRacing 88-89 CR250 project from years ago with VRP, Mugen, titanium everythimg... build us a 170lb 250cc works bike to read about
...But the KX500 powerplant is far better.
The bike that TM should build directly in Italy with a new proper TM 500cc 2stroke monster engine. I think this is a dream of many people in the world... 🤩💣🔝
For big grunt buy a MTH 700cm motor these are based on the type 565 KTM bottom end.
Still should be powered by a tm motor the fuel injected 300 would be a monster
Big bore 300MX would be infinitely better
Built TM tough with Honda stuff!!
2 speeds .. Tractor and Ballistic
I think a 2020 300 is faster than a 30 years old stok honda
Why not use this instead
But it's a HONDA
If TM manufactures a 500cc im in!!!!
If some company would make a damn current updated 350 2 stroke. No 2 or 4 stroke could touch it. It would be the king of dirt.
TM racing USA the old school 500 were difficult to hold onto. But I believe with all the new technology around: powervalves, digital ignition, powerjets and especially balancer shafts, one can build a 500 which can be handled over the duration of a race.
